How can I retrieve a journal article or excerpts of a book not in the catalogue?
You can retrieve a copy of a journal article or excerpts of a book not in the catalogue by contacting the Document Delivery service.
This service obtains materials not available in UNIMI libraries from other libraries in Italy and abroad and is restricted to UNIMI users.
To comply with applicable copyright laws, document-delivery materials may not exceed 15% of the total pages of the journal or book.
Requests can be made in person, by email, or via the Minerva catalogue. You may submit them to your library or to the specific library of the book you are interested in.
The Library of Legal and Humanistic Studies provides a centralized service for all library users in Via Festa del Perdono.
Biomedical and Scientific libraries allow partner-institution users to submit document delivery requests via the online NILDE user account.
If you request a book through the interlibrary services and then fail to collect it or consult it in the library within the time frame communicated by the library staff, you will not be allowed to borrow other books for 20 days.
If you do not collect an item requested through document delivery within one month from when you were notified that it was available for pick-up, your access to the interlibrary services will be suspended until you pick up the item.
Please note that, in accordance with copyright legislation and the terms and conditions of the applicable licenses, copies of articles or book chapters requested through the document delivery service cannot be sent in digital format.
